Beuchat

The brand that invented the speargun and developed the iconic mono-lens dive mask, the super compensator, Beuchat is known as one of the top spearfishing brands in the world.

Founded in Marseille in France in 1934, the brand has been developing and innovating ever since. The brands is known for the invention of the underwater speargun – the Tarzan which was the brain child of founder Georges Beuchat in 1947.

In 1953 they invented the first isothermal wetsuit and continued to innovate launching the first diving wetsuit designed for women in 1966. In 1999, Beuchat launched their timeless Mundial range of fins, which still remain as some of the top spearfishing and free diving fins on the market.

Beuchat is now considered as one of the leading spearfishing brands and has a reputation for comfort, quality, style and utility.

More recently, Beuchat have been known for developing their famous PreCut system and Braca concept. The PreCut System allows divers to convert long johns easily and quickly to waist-cut pants. Meanwhile, the Braca Concept, allows divers to urinate without having to take off their entire suit.
