Description
Start Point Carbon Fins are here!
Among the top carbon fins in the world, they have been used by Start Point team divers for many years. The lightweight design reduces muscle fatigue by decreasing excessive kicking, enabling you to swim longer and deeper with ease.
Designed with maximum efficiency and comfort in mind. Our foot pockets are made from natural pure latex rubber, produced using specially designed rubber injection machines. The 22 degree angle helps to transport the power of your kick along the blade. These foot pockets the perfect pairing with our Start Point carbon blades.
Technical Details Carbon Blade:
The blades are made from graduated parabolic 100% Carbon Aero (as per aircraft standards) and manufactured using the most sophisticated method of vacuum infusion process (VIP).
The VIP method ensures the highest carbon to resin ratio up to 75% Carbon: 25% resin by weight. This results in zero trapping of bubbles in the resin and carbon, meaning you get maximum efficiency with minimum energy consumption. Leading epoxy resins are used upon very dense weaving. The manufacturing process takes approximately two days.
The carbon blades are paired with Start Point foot pockets in-store.
The blades are available in the soft, medium and hard stiffness*:
- Soft: Up to 70 Kg
- Medium: 70-90 Kg
- Hard: 91 Kg upwards
- Blade’s angle: 23°
- Blade length: 760mm
- Blade width: 195mm
*The correct stiffness for you will depend on more than your weight, other factors include how strong a swimmer you are and the depths you dive to. If you are uncertain of the correct stiffness please give us a call, or send us a Whatsapp message and we will be happy to discuss.
